• Weekly Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
• Unit Type: Cardio-Pulmonary Progressive Care Unit
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday required; weekend block schedule may be considered
• Start Date: 7/6/2026

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact license
• Minimum of 1 year of registered nurse experience required
• At least 6 months of acute care hospital experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Certification preferred
• Ability to read and verify rhythm strips
• Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts
• Experience managing and titrating cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Nitroglycerin, and Amiodarone
• Experience with BiPAP and insulin drips required
• Must pass EKG exam at orientation
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
• Monitor patients on continuous cardiac telemetry and respond to changing conditions with confidence
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for progressive care patients
• Administer medications safely and manage complex cardiac and respiratory therapies
• Titrate cardiac drips and support patients requiring insulin infusions and BiPAP
• Perform lab draws, peripheral IV starts, and ongoing clinical assessments
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, CNAs, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care
• Support chest tube care and assist with procedural and post-procedural cardiac patients
• Float within skillset to appropriate units as needed based on competency and patient acuity
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and family-centered communication throughout the care experience
