Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact eligibility, if applicable
• Previous travel nurse or local contract experience preferred
• Ability to adapt to day, evening, and night shift scheduling needs
• Strong clinical assessment, patient monitoring, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Experience in acute care, telemetry, or step-down nursing strongly valued

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals requiring progressive or step-down level monitoring and treatment
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans
• Monitor patient condition closely and respond quickly to changes in status
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to provider orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, high-quality outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and discharge needs
• Maintain compliance with unit standards, safety practices, and all scheduling expectations throughout the assignment
