Job Requirements

• 2+ years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or step-down nursing experience required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Ability to work all 3 shifts per week throughout the 13-week assignment
• Strong clinical assessment, telemetry monitoring, and acute care patient care skills
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit
• Monitor patient conditions closely and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with provider orders and clinical protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe, effective, patient-centered care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery expectations, and ongoing care needs
• Support unit workflow, maintain quality standards, and promote patient safety in a fast-paced hospital setting
