Job Summary Medical Surgical Nurse (MS) Night Shift Johnstown, PA. This position involves providing high-quality patient care on a neuro-medical surgical unit within a healthcare facility. The role requires competence in dysrhythmia management and adherence to specialized clinical protocols, supporting recovery and health outcomes for adult patients with conditions such as CVA, TIA, seizures, and respiratory issues.
Job Details
Position: Medical Surgical Nurse (MS)
Location: Johnstown, PA
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Required Qualifications: RN license, minimum 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical setting, NIH certification and Swallow Screen preferred, neuro experience ideal
Preferred Qualifications: Competence in dysrhythmia management, ability to handle adult patient population, experience with CVA, TIA, seizures, urinary and respiratory treatments
Responsibilities: Providing patient assessments, administering medications, monitoring cardiac and vital signs, managing dysrhythmias, supporting high-acuity adult patients, and adhering to facility protocols.
Certifications: NIH and Swallow Screen preferred.
Additional Information: Candidates must be competent in dysrhythmia and take a dysrhythmia and math dosage test on day one of orientation. Must be available for holidays as scheduled.
