Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse position in Tucson, Arizona. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care for patients in a specialized unit. The nurse will be accountable for delivering quality nursing services, utilizing a comprehensive nursing process, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Must possess a current, valid RN license in the state of practice or a compact RN licensure. BLS certification is required. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is preferred, especially within the last 12 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree is preferred. Professional certification is a plus.
  • Additional Information: The position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical activities frequently. Must have adequate hearing and visual acuity, including color vision. Should be able to lift up to 75 pounds and utilize proper body mechanics for patient transfers. Effective communication skills are necessary. This role may involve using a personal computer periodically and adhering to all safety protocols to prevent exposure to blood and bodily fluids.
