NURSE PATIENT RATIOS: DAYS | 1:4 NIGHTS | 1:5
Must have PCU/Stepdown/Tele Experience on this unit
Nurse: Patient Ratios1:4-5; could have some mixed MS and PCU patients; 1:5 for all MS patients. Required certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS): BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Common diagnoses/Types of patientsCHF, NSTEMI, MI, heart block, pacer, TAVR, CABG day 2, recovers cath pts after sheath is pulled, Watchman, bradycardia, VT, general PCU overflow: respiratory failure, low BPs, low hemoglobin, sepsis, post surgical, etc.
