Progressive Care / Acute Neuroscience Unit Registered Nurse (Neuro PCU / Stepdown RN) – Day Shift

  • Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 07:00 – 19:00 | 36 Hours Per Week
    • Weekend Protocol: Every-other-weekend (EOW) coverage required. No block scheduling permitted.
    • Holiday Protocol: Required to work 2 holidays per contract (Observed: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas).
    • Floating & RTO: Floating is required across clinical units. Maximum 1 pre-approved time off request allowed.
    • Orientation Note: 24 total orientation hours (16 non-billable orientation hours).

  • Location Region: Richmond, Virginia (VA) | Level 1 Trauma Center Setting | Local Candidates Accepted (Same Bill Rate)

Submission Hardstops [STRICT & NON-NEGOTIABLE]

  • Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]: Minimum 2+ years of clinical RN experience required [HARDSTOP]. Direct acute Neurology, Neurosurgery, or Neuro-Stepdown experience strongly preferred (first-time travelers accepted with strong neuro experience).
  • EMR Requirement [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical documentation experience in Epic EMR strictly required (NO EXCEPTIONS) [HARDSTOP].
  • Clinical Skill Set & Dysrhythmia Mastery [HARDSTOP]: Direct clinical competence in continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, emergency cardiac response, and stable mechanically ventilated patient care (PC level) [HARDSTOP].
  • State Licensure [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]: Active Virginia State RN License or multi-state eNLC Compact RN License [HARDSTOP].
  • Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION]:
    • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support — AHA ONLY) certification [HARDSTOP].
