Job Summary:
This step down unit professional opportunity is located in the Bronx, New York. The role involves working in a specialty that requires comprehensive experience with cardiovascular care, including post-surgical management, arrhythmia management, transplant medications, and various complex procedures. The position offers a demanding, yet rewarding environment focused on patient recovery and clinical excellence.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 11.5 hours per shift, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York state nursing license with license number; active certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS); minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; experience with HeartMate 3 ventricular assist devices, Cardio Thoracic surgeries, Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), transplants (heart and lungs), valve replacements, and management of arrhythmias.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with transplant medications, liver and kidney transplants, cardiac and transplant medications management, and float to Intensive Care Units (ICUs).
• Additional Information: The candidate should be familiar with the EPIC charting system and be prepared for pass/fail testing on the first day of orientation at 7:00 a.m.. The role involves managing complex patient conditions in a large, reputable facility.
