Job Summary:
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurse (RN) position in Pensacola, Florida. The RN is responsible for delivering quality patient care, supervising ancillary staff, and implementing individualized care plans. The role emphasizes patient and staff safety and involves active participation in patient rehabilitation and discharge planning.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 48 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification prior to first shift, valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification prior to first shift (CIRH only), PCU and step-down experience, experience with vents, and experience with critical drips.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of two years bedside clinical experience.
  • Additional Information: Performs nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission to develop individualized care plans, collaborates with patients' families and interdisciplinary team members, documents all patient interactions accurately, and participates in team-based patient care and safety initiatives. Initiates discharge planning and patient teaching from day one, maintains open communication for continuity of care, and provides direction to ancillary staff. Maintains professionalism, safety, and environmental standards, and seeks ongoing professional development.
