Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekend and holiday requirements as scheduled
• 29-bed flex unit serving both floor and step-down patients based on patient and hospital needs
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 3:1 for step-down and 6:1 for floor patients
• Clinical Associates (nurse aides) available with a goal of 3 CAs at all times (1:10 ratio)
• Titrate drips per physician orders including Heparin, insulin, anti-hypertensives, antiarrhythmics, Phenobarbital, Ketamine, morphine/Dilaudid/Fentanyl PCAs, and TPN
• Work with CPAP, BiPAP, HiFlow, and ventilators in step-down; vents requiring settings adjusted are transferred to ICU
• Telemetry monitoring supported by remote surveillance center and central monitoring on unit; RNs are not required to read their own strips; Phillips telemetry monitoring equipment used
• Charge RNs and House Supervisors available 24/7
• First to float or be pulled to other floor or step-down units
• No call or standby requirement
• Block scheduling not guaranteed but accommodated as much as possible
• Scrub color requirement: any combination of royal blue and white
• Charting system: EPIC experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• Diverse patient population with primarily medical diagnoses

This acute care facility features a newly constructed 29-bed flex unit equipped to serve both medical-surgical and step-down patients, with a full unit opening anticipated in the first quarter of 2026. The facility operates with robust support staff including Charge RNs and House Supervisors available around the clock, a remote telemetry surveillance center, and Clinical Associates to assist nursing staff.
