Job Summary Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse (RN) Night Shift The organization is seeking experienced RNs to join its Surgical Telemetry team within a cardiac-focused unit. The role involves providing specialized care for post-operative cardiac patients, including open-heart surgery and vascular procedures, with a focus on telemetry monitoring and advanced cardiac support.
Job Details
Job Type: Temporary travel assignment
Location: The organizations cardiac telemetry unit, providing care for adult and geriatric patients
Shift Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license with a compact license accepted, at least 2 years of experience in surgical telemetry, open-heart surgery, vascular procedures, and cardiac telemetry; certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; minimum one year of relevant experience; proficient in Epic electronic health record system, cardioversion, blood product administration, and telemetry monitoring.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with open-heart post-op care within the first 1-5 days, managing chest tubes, sternal precautions, and specialized structural heart support devices (VAD, TAVR).
Responsibilities include managing cardiac drips, ventilator support, chest tubes, central line management, and responding to emergent cardiac events. Travelers must be flexible to float between units as needed.
Submission Requirements: Candidates are asked to confirm past employment at any Providence facility, provide two references covering one year (or six months if CNA), and adhere to policy guidelines regarding travel, RTO, and float expectations.
