Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role requires a dedicated Registered Nurse to work on the 12-hour night shift, with a commitment to every other weekend. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable and have experience in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend required.
• Weekend shift schedule:
  • Days: Saturday and Sunday
  • Nights: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Floating to various units occurs in 4-hour blocks, with rare instances of floating every 4 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with varying needs.
• Ability to titrate pressors is essential.
• Expected to float to emergency department holds, inpatient holds, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), and other boarding units as necessary.
• Maintain patient ratios between 1:3 to 1:5.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center is preferred; if no prior travel experience, Level 1 trauma experience is required.
• Proficiency in Epic electronic health records (EHR) is necessary.

Additional Information

Candidates must be separated from any previous employment with the organization for a minimum of 6 months to be considered. Testing will be administered on the first day, with practice tests available via Relias. Weekly start dates are available, and managerial approval is required for IVS submissions.
