Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The position involves working night shifts and will require weekend availability. Nurses will be expected to float between various units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Titrate pressors as required; experience in this area is mandatory.
  • Float to various departments, including ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units when necessary.
  • Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-5.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment and monitoring of patient conditions.

Qualifications

  • Active and valid RN license.
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and NIHSS certification preferred.
  • Experience in Level 1 trauma settings is highly preferred; if no prior travel nursing experience is present, Level 1 trauma experience is required.
  • Proficient in using electronic health records systems, particularly Epic.
  • Must be able to work alternating weekends: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for night shifts; Saturday and Sunday for day shifts.
  • Must have completed at least six months of separation from previous employment with the same organization.

Additional Information

Successful candidates will undergo testing on the first day, which is pass/fail. Practice tests will be available through Relias to assist in preparation. Flexible start dates are available on Mondays.
