- Shift: 12-hour shifts
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call: Only if census is low
- Float: Yes
- EHR: Cerner
- Unit Size: 36 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:5–6 cardiac patients; 1:3–4 PCU/stepdown population
- Equipment: Telemetry monitoring
- Position Requirements:
- Role: RN
- Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH
- Experience: 1 year PCU or stepdown
- Required Education: Associate degree
- Must-Have Skills: Cardiac patient populations, chest tubes, cardiac monitoring, cardiac drips, cardiac stepdown populations
- Preferred Skills: PCU/stepdown populations, low-level ICU skills
- Common Diagnoses/Treatments: Chest pain, VATS, Stroke/TIA, pre- & post-open heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular, CHF
- Personality Fit: Teamwork is a must
- Dress Code: Blue or navy scrubs; no blue jeans
