Job Summary
Progressive Care Unit (PCU) registered nurses are responsible for providing specialized patient care in a dedicated unit. This role involves monitoring and managing the needs of patients transitioning from intensive care, with an emphasis on clinical assessment and intervention. The position is located in Burlington, Massachusetts, and requires a flexible, dedicated healthcare professional capable of working night shifts.

Job Details

  • Shift: Nights, 12 hours shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registered nurse license, BLS - American Heart Association certification, willingness to titrate pressors, ability to pass/fail clinical testing on day one, experience with Epic electronic health record or similar, and must be separated from any affiliated organization for a minimum of 6 months.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS - American Heart Association certification, NIHSS certification, prior trauma or level 1 trauma experience (required if no prior travel experience).
  • Additional Information: The nurse will be expected to float to emergency department holds, inpatient holds, post-anesthesia care units (PACU), and other boarding units in four-hour blocks. Staffing ratios will range between 1:3-5. The start date is Monday, and floating may occasionally occur during shifts.
