Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). The successful candidate will have experience in managing patients with complex medical conditions in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

  • Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)
  • Number of Beds: 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds
  • Common Diagnoses: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory issues including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, Myocardial Infarction (MI), and post-operative care
  • Specialty Equipment: Temp pacers, Chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
  • Ventilator Care: Experience with chronic vents and collaboration with Respiratory Therapy
  • Patient Demographics: Ages 18 and older

Shift Information

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Please note that block scheduling is not guaranteed)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Active RN license in NY and all states of licensure (NURSYS report required)
  • Experience with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
  • Must be willing to float to other units as required

Additional Requirements

  • Up-to-date resume detailing relevant experience and travel background
  • Driver’s license with an address that matches demographics
  • Include RTO (Request Time Off) information at the time of submission
