Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wausau, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Low census hours possible in 4-hour increments; contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with a fast-paced, high patient turnover environment
• Patient ratio typically 1:4
• Care for post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow cases including detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
• Must be comfortable managing independently and completing tasks in a timely manner
• Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
• Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
• Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro drips required
• At least one prior travel assignment required
• Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
• Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

The cardiac stepdown unit is a 44-bed intermediate care unit that provides specialized care for complex cardiac and post-surgical patients. The facility maintains high standards of patient care in a fast-paced environment and supports healthcare professionals with robust resources and specialty services.
