Travel Nurse RN - PCU / Stepdown - $2,114 per week in Hermitage, TN

**Exciting Travel RN Position in Progressive Care Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Summit Medical Center - PCU (Cost Center 630/633) - **Unit Specifics:** - **Number of Beds:** 34 (630) / 25 (633) - **Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:4 to 1:5 - Nights: 1:5 to 1:6 - **Staffing Support:** - 3 Techs when 630 is full - 2 Techs when 633 is full - **Type of Equipment:** - Bipaps, high flow O2, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, cardiac drips, heparin drips, insulin drips - Peritoneal dialysis, wound vacs (with wound care) - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every other weekend requirement for contract - 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** May float between PCU units or med-surg floors - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Hourly rounding on days; every 2 hours on nights - AIDET and maintaining communication boards on the 7th floor - TV communication boards specific to department 633 - **Certifications Needed:** BLS, ACLS **Requested Skill Set:** - **Must Have:** - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips - Preferred: Peritoneal dialysis experience and peripheral IV skills - **Advanced Skills:** - ACLS certified - Experience with Bipaps, high flow O2, and varied oxygen delivery systems - Experienced in stroke and post-cardiac cath care - Preferred: Tube feeding and NG/Dobhoff tube experience - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Peritoneal dialysis, thoracentesis, paracentesis - Chest tube insertions, Dobhoff/NG tube insertions - Central line dressing changes, troubleshooting wound vacs - **Dress Code:** Black Scrubs **Unit Culture & Benefits:** - Self-scheduling with 4-week schedules - Contract staff required to work every other weekend - Supportive culture emphasizing teamwork and "care like family" ethos - Many travelers choose to extend after their initial contract **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
