**Exciting Travel RN Opportunity in Progressive Care Unit!** **Job Description:** - **Location:** Summit Medical Center, PCU Units 630/633 - **Number of Beds:** - Unit 630: 34 beds - Unit 633: 25 beds - **Patient Ratios:** - Day Shift: 1:4 to 1:5 - Night Shift: 1:5 to 1:6 - **Unit Staffing:** - 3 Technicians when Unit 630 is full - 2 Technicians when Unit 633 is full - **Type of Equipment Used:** - BiPAPs - High-Flow O2 - Vapotherm - Alaris Pumps - Cardiac Drips - Heparin & Insulin Drips - Peritoneal Dialysis - Wound Vacs in conjunction with wound care - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Scheduling Requirements:** - Every other weekend requirement - 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** - May float between PCU units or to med-surg floors - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Hourly rounding on days - Every 2-hour rounding on nights - AIDET methodology - Communication boards on the 7th floor; Department 633 has TV communication boards - **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS - **Hiring Profile:** - **Must Have:** - Critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Cardiac drip, insulin drip, and heparin drip experience - Peripheral IV skills - **Preferred:** - Peritoneal dialysis experience - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - ACLS Certification - Experience with BiPAPs, High-Flow O2, and oxygen delivery systems - Experience with stroke and post-cardiac cath care - Tube feeding and NG/dobhoff tube experience - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Peritoneal dialysis - Thoracentesis - Paracentesis - Chest tube insertions - Dobhoff/NG tube insertions - Central line dressing changes - Troubleshooting wound vacs - **Dress Code:** - Black Scrubs - **Unit Guidelines/Policies:** - *Policies will be provided upon hiring* - **Awards/Recognition:** - *Details to be provided upon request* - **Additional Information:** - Self-scheduling available - Four-week schedules - Techs to assist with patient care - Most travelers extend after their initial contract - Caring family-like culture in the PCU - Great teamwork and collaboration **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
