**Exciting Opportunity: Travel RN - PCU - Night Shift** **Job Description:** - **Location:** 5655 Frist Boulevard - **Unit Name:** PCU - **Cost Center:** 630/633 - **Number of Beds:** - Unit 630: 34 beds - Unit 633: 25 beds - **Patient Ratios:** - Days: 1:4 to 1:5 - Nights: 1:5 to 1:6 - **Unit Staffing:** - 3 techs when Unit 630 is full - 2 techs when Unit 633 is full - **Equipment Used:** - Bipaps - High flow O2 - Vapotherm - Alaris pumps - Cardiac, heparin, and insulin drips - Peritoneal dialysis - Wound vacs (in conjunction with wound care) - **Documentation System:** Meditech - **Schedule Requirements:** - Every other weekend - 3 12-hour shifts per week - **Floating Policy:** Potential to float between PCU units or med-surg floors - **Patient Experience Requirements:** - Hourly rounding on days - Every 2-hour rounding on nights - AIDET communication and management of communication boards - Department 633 has TV communication boards **Hiring Profile:** - **Requested Skill Set:** - Must have critical thinking skills - EKG rhythm interpretation - Experience with cardiac, insulin, and heparin drips - Preferred peritoneal dialysis experience - Peripheral IV skills - **Advanced Skills Needed:** - ACLS certification - Experience with bipaps and multiple oxygen delivery systems - Familiarity with stroke and post-cardiac cath care - Experience with tube feedings and NG/dobhoff tubes - **Procedures Performed on Unit:** - Peritoneal dialysis - Thoracentesis - Paracentesis - Chest tube insertions - Dobhoff/NG tube insertions - Central line dressing changes - Troubleshooting wound vacs **Certifications Required:** - BLS - ACLS **Dress Code:** - Black scrubs **Unit Highlights:** - Self-scheduling enabling flexibility - 4-week scheduling cycles - Tech assistance to enhance patient care - Travelers frequently extend their contracts - Supportive, family-like culture and great teamwork **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
