**Exciting Opportunity for Telemetry RN in Cardiac Care!** **Job Description:** - Join a dynamic Cardiac Telemetry Unit with a capacity of 25 beds. - Work alongside a skilled team comprised of: - Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Unit Secretary, 2-3 Techs - Night Shift: 1 Charge RN, 6 RNs, 1 Tech - Experience an ideal patient ratio of 4:1, allowing for focused care. - Utilize advanced equipment including: - EKG Machine - Hoyer Lift - LifePak - Navigate our user-friendly EMR system: Meditech. **Typical Hiring Profile:** - **Must-Have Skills:** - Telemetry experience and ability to read EKGs. - Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with frequent admissions, discharges, and procedures. - **Preferred Skills:** - Ability to prioritize and adapt patient care based on evolving conditions. - Proficient in timely communication to physicians regarding patient condition changes. **Typical Procedures Performed:** - PD (Peritoneal Dialysis) - EKGs - Note: Most cardiac procedures are conducted in the Cath Lab, not on the unit. **Best Personality Fit:** - A true team player. - Positive attitude and willingness to contribute. **Required Certifications:** - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) **Additional Information:** - Floating Area: Med Surg (low probability of floating). - Dress Code: Navy scrubs. - Weekend Requirement: Work every 3rd Friday and Saturday (7 PM - 7 AM), plus an additional Friday or Saturday each schedule.
