**Job Description:**
- **Assignment Length:** 13 Weeks
- **Start Date:** ASAP
- **Shift:** 3x12 Night Shift
- **Years of Experience Required:** 1
- **First Timers Accepted:** Yes
- **Certifications Required:**
- BLS
- ACLS
- NIHSS
- **Skills Required:** Per Unit Director
- **On-Call Required:** No
- **Weekend Coverage:** More frequent than every other weekend, based on staffing needs
- **Floating Within Scope:** Yes - Float to lower acuity units, renal care, neuro, MS
- **Block Schedule:** Not accommodated
- **Locals Accepted:** No (Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility)
- **Pending License:** Accepted (Must have license for Auto Offer)
- **RTO Restrictions:** Time off approved on an individual basis, all RTO must be included in submission
- **Guaranteed Hours:** 60 hours per 2 weeks (Traveler can be called off for 1 shift per 2 weeks)
**Unit Information:**
- Stepdown unit from ICU with diverse patient populations across multiple disciplines.
- Utilizes Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model:
- 1 Bedside RN per 4 patients
- 1 CNA per 6 patients
- 1 Remote Virtual RN assists with admissions, discharges, rounding, education, and safety checks.
**Patient Population:**
- 30% Cardiac patients (CHF, MI, S/p TAVR and MVR, Pacemakers, Cardiac arrhythmias, etc.)
- Respiratory patients (COVID, FLU, COPD, Asthma exacerbations)
- Overflow for Neuro and Renal patients
- Complicated medical-surgical patients requiring advanced monitoring (ETOH withdrawal, GI bleed, etc.)
