**Exciting Opportunity for RN - Intermediate Care Day Shift**
Job Description:
- Join a dynamic team in a Medical Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) with a diverse patient population!
- Unit Size: 42 beds (21 medical & 21 Intermediate care)
- Work in a fast-paced environment with expected ratios of:
- Intermediate care: 1:3
- Medical: 1:6
- Cases you'll encounter include:
- Pneumonia (PNA)
- COPD exacerbation
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Hyperglycemic Hyperosmolar State (HHS)
- Alcohol withdrawal (ETOH)
- Gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB)
- Sepsis
- Pulmonary embolism (PE)
- Urinary tract infection (UTI)
- Respiratory failure
- Minimum of 2 years of experience required
- Certifications needed:
- ACLS
- BLS
- Flexibility to float to other units as needed, working on both medical-tele and IMC sides
- Must have experience with:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilation management
- High-flow nasal cannula
- Cardiac drips
- BiPAP
- Telemetry
- Shift Information:
- 12-hour night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- Holiday coverage required
