Job Title: RN CVICU-Peds Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: Pediatric cardiovascular ICU experience required Description: The role requires experience in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU. The nurse to patient ratio is 1:1 or 1:2 for ICU status and 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU in the overflow unit. The unit consists of a 24-bed Pediatric cardiac ICU and a 12-bed overflow unit. Patients will include those with congenital heart disease/defects, post-surgical repair, heart failure, arrhythmias, transplant needs, and VAD. The age range of patients is neonatal through young adult, with occasional adult congenital heart disease patients.
