TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Peds CVICU RN in Durham, North Carolina, 27710!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVPICU Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: NC or Compact license required Certifications: BLS, PALS Must-Have: Charge experience preferred Charting system experience preferred Community hospital experience preferred Travel experience required Description: The role requires an experienced registered nurse in the CVPICU specialty. Candidates must possess a valid NC or Compact nursing license. BLS and PALS certifications are required. Experience in managing complex congenital heart diseases and heart failure is essential. Ability to care for ventilated patients and perform hemodynamic monitoring is necessary. Nurses should be familiar with intravenous vasopressors and administration of blood products. Monitoring and managing patients on ECMO and CRRT is a vital skill for this position. Strong skills in respiratory management using BiPAP/CPAP and high-flow nasal cannula are required. Candidates will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, including respiratory services and social services. The nurse will participate in pediatric early warning scoring and rapid response team protocols. A commitment to infection control practices and the use of PPE is necessary. The position requires the ability to maintain a fast-paced work environment while providing high-quality patient care. Flexibility to float as needed and work weekends is expected. Candidates should have excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and families. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are necessary for managing multiple patients' care needs. Nurses will be responsible for documenting patient care accurately and timely.
