Description:
This position is for a Travel RN in the Pediatric Emergency Department.
The unit has 23 beds and a staff of 45.
Staff includes 4 Day RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 5 Mid-Shift RNs during the day.
Night staff comprises 4 Night RNs and 1 Night Charge Nurse.
Patient ratios are 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge conditions.
The unit is equipped with GE monitors and uses Meditech for EMR.
Ideal candidates should possess skills in port access, IV start, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing, EKG, and Foley placement.
Candidates must demonstrate a caring, competent, and active personality.
Strong communication skills and a willingness to go above and beyond are essential.
