Job Title: Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active California RN license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, MAB, PALS Must-Have: Prior experience in a pediatric emergency department preferred Description: The Pediatric Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work 3x12-hour shifts. Available shifts include 07:00, 11:00, 14:00, and 19:00. Travelers must be available to work all holidays, although one holiday off may be accommodated. Candidates with previous pediatric emergency department experience will be prioritized. This is a high-volume environment, particularly during winter months. The facility handles a significant number of pediatric visits annually. Nurses run their own codes internally. ED technicians are available to support registered nurses. The patient age range is up to 25 years. Key responsibilities include managing acute pediatric conditions, administering medications, and performing various nursing procedures. The role requires effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
