**Job Description:**
- **Position:** Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED RN)
- **Shift:** 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
- **Location:** Travel position (must live 75 miles away from the facility; locals accepted within 75 miles)
**Requirements:**
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the Emergency Department with pediatric care experience
- Must have travel nursing experience
- Up-to-date resume showcasing your qualifications
- Skills checklist specific to nursing specialty
- Valid driver’s license with matching address
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
- Active NY License, verified via NURSYS report
- Include RTO (Request Time Off) at the time of submission
- EMR experience required: EPIC
**Unit Overview:**
- **Emergency Department Bed Capacity:** 64 beds
- 2 Triage beds
- 40 Acute beds
- 6 Super Track beds
- 2 Trauma beds
- 10 CDU beds
- 6 Psych beds
**Patient Care:**
- Typical diagnoses include:
- Stroke
- Sepsis
- Trauma
- Myocardial Infarction (MI)
- Cardiac Arrest
- Respiratory Failure
- Patient demographics:
- Newborns
- Pediatrics
- Adults
- Geriatrics
**Essential Skills:**
- Proficiency with specialty equipment:
- Rapid Infusor
- Arctic Sun
- Familiarity with required drips and medications such as:
- Pressors: Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine
- Vasodilators: Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG
- Anti-arrhythmics: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lido
- Sedation: Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin
- Charge nurse capability is highly preferred
- Floating among units is required
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
