Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Emergency Room (Peds ER) Registered Nurse for a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatric care and experienced in handling emergency and trauma situations.
Position Details:
- Unit: Pediatric Emergency Department (Peds ER)
- Contract Type: Travel
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide emergency care to pediatric patients (infants to adolescents)
- Perform triage and prioritize care based on patient acuity
- Monitor, assess, and treat critically ill or injured children
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Educate and support patients’ families
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Peds ER experience (within the last 3 years)
- Experience in a high-acuity or trauma facility preferred
- Strong triage experience required
- Current certifications required:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS (required)
- NIHSS (preferred/required based on facility)
- EPIC experience preferred
- Active RN license (state-specific as required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
- Strong pediatric assessment and emergency care skills
