Job Opportunity – Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: August 3, 2026

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 6-week rotating schedule requiring 3 weekends; self-scheduling available

• 9-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with step-down capabilities at a leading regional referral center
• Patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 in PICU; 1:2 to 1:3 in step-down
• Comprehensive case mix including hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, ICP monitoring, trach care, and central line management
• Cerner electronic medical record system with Alaris pump technology
• Float opportunities to Pediatrics and NICU for skill development and variety
• Supportive unit environment with dedicated unit secretary (9am-9pm) and shared technician support

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse license
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of PICU experience required
• Proficiency in IV starts, catheterization, central line care, and critical care procedures
