Job Description

Job Opportunity – Pediatric ICU Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 36 hours per week, evening/night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Highlights:
  • Work in a state-of-the-art 21-bed Pediatric ICU at a nationally recognized children's hospital and Magnet-designated facility
  • Care for critically ill and injured pediatric patients with diverse medical and surgical conditions including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, and ECMO
  • Participate in a Level One Pediatric Trauma Center with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
  • Epic charting system with advanced telemetry and hemodynamic monitoring capabilities
  • Float position with opportunities across multiple pediatric units including ICU, IMC, and general care settings
  • Travel assignment in a vibrant college town known for excellent quality of life
Requirements:
  • Wisconsin Registered Nurse license or compact license from permanent address state
  • Minimum two years of acute care PICU experience within the last three years
  • Cardiac ICU or cardiac step-down experience highly preferred; NICU experience a plus
  • BLS and PALS certification through American Heart Association required; NRP preferred
  • Strong basic arrhythmia interpretation skills; must pass facility telemetry exam prior to start
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred
  • Prior travel nursing experience required
  • Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility location
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
