Provide intensive and intermediate nursing care to pediatric patients ages 0–18 with medical and surgical diagnoses including respiratory compromise, trauma, post-operative care, and neurology/neurosurgery
Manage variable patient ratios (1:1, 1:2, or 1:3) within a mixed ICU and stepdown environment
Support complex therapies including ventilatory and cardiac support, ECMO, CRRT, renal dialysis, and peritoneal dialysis
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including Patient Care Technicians, Respiratory Therapy, Pediatric Dietitians, and Pediatric Pharmacists
Float within scope of practice to meet unit needs as required
Adhere to weekend scheduling requirements of up to 5 weekend shifts (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights) per 4-week schedule, including holiday coverage as applicable
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of PICU nursing experience
Active SC RN license or Multi-State/Compact RN license (SC license must be active prior to start)
Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Current PALS certification through American Heart Association (AHA)
Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting system
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation)
Experience with CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy)
