Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment
Key Responsibilities- Float across multiple pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
- Deliver age-appropriate, evidence-based nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations
- Adapt clinical practice to the needs of each unit while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
- Participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday rotation as required
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
- NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
- Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted at time of submission; must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
- Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
- Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
- Epic EMR experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
- Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
- BSN preferred
