Contract | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (Day/Night, 3x12-Hour Shifts) | Day: 7:00am–7:30pm | Night: 7:00pm–7:30am

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients in an intensive care setting, including patients up to 25 years of age
• Monitor and manage patients requiring epilepsy monitoring and related specialized interventions
• Administer and monitor inotropes and interpret EKG/ECG rhythms as part of patient care
• Rotate between day and night shifts as needed to meet operational demands of the unit
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation with an acceptable passing score
• Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for prior to travel assignments
• Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active and unencumbered Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission (no pending certifications accepted)
• Proficiency with EKG interpretation and inotrope administration
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Preferred Experience / Skills

• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification preferred
• Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric intensive care environment
• 18 months of specialty experience within a single location preferred, though not required
