Travel RN – Cardiac PICU (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct critical care nursing to pediatric congenital cardiac patients in a 10-bed Cardiac ICU setting with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
  • Manage post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF administration, and chest tube management
  • Perform care of post-sternotomy and open-chest patients
  • Administer and monitor moderate sedation as required by patient condition
  • Operate and monitor specialized equipment including Philips monitors, Med Fusion and Baxter pumps, and advanced support devices
  • Collaborate with board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists and an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based critical care
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Proficiency with Meditech EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with peritoneal dialysis and/or CRRT
  • ECMO bedside experience
  • Familiarity with advanced support technology such as Centrimag, Prismax, or Arctic Sun
