Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-Hour Shifts per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric and pediatric intensive care patients in a 19-bed unit (10 PICU, 9 Pediatric beds)
Manage patient ratios of 1:2 for PICU and up to 1:5 for general pediatric patients, adjusting as census and acuity require
Assist with and monitor procedures including lumbar punctures, intubations, chest tube placements, and conscious sedation
Operate and monitor unit equipment including Hillrom beds, GE monitors, ICU Medical Plum 360 pumps, and Med Fusion syringe pumps
Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members across day and night shifts to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Pediatric nursing experience
Pediatric ICU experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
Combined experience in both general pediatrics and pediatric intensive care settings
Familiarity with vasoactive drip management and mechanical ventilation support
Experience with Meditech EMR
Adaptable team player who embraces constructive feedback and thrives in a dynamic clinical environment
