Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting with patient ratios of 1:1–2, or 1:3 for intermediate care patients
- Float to adolescent, pediatric, PHOC, and NICU units as needed, with ratios adjusted based on patient acuity
- Perform and monitor CVVH and/or CRRT therapies as required by patient condition
- Conduct safe patient transport in accordance with unit protocols
- Work every other weekend and applicable holidays as required
- Document all patient care accurately using the EPIC charting system
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2.5 years of PICU experience required
- Active NJ State RN license or valid Compact license required at time of submission
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records system
- Must be available to work 2 of 3 designated holidays
- Must be willing and able to float within skillset as required, with no exceptions
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of PICU experience in a large acute care facility strongly preferred
- CVVH and/or CRRT experience highly preferred
- Patient transport experience highly preferred
- NIH certification preferred
