Travel Nurse RN - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit in Oakland, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting within a teaching hospital environment
• Monitor, assess, and respond to the complex needs of critically ill pediatric patients
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required
• Float to other facilities within the health system as needed, provided requisite job specifications are met

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN License (must be in hand at time of submittal)
• BSN required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• Minimum 5 years of PICU experience
• Teaching hospital experience required
• All prior employment with any University of California medical facility or affiliated/acquired facilities must be disclosed with dates, units, and manager names at time of submittal for rehire eligibility review
• 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submittal
• All requested time off must be disclosed at time of submittal; time off requires manager approval at time of offer and may not be requested mid-contract or within the first two weeks of the assignment start
• Local candidates are accepted and are subject to the same rates as travel candidates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)
