Schedule / Job TypeContract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) with variable night availability (19:00–7:30)
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) setting within a teaching hospital environment
- Monitor and manage patients requiring conscious sedation, intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, and central line care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
- Complete required non-billable orientation modules prior to start and annually as required by unit
- Float to other units or facilities as needed when qualifications are met
Required Qualifications- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand prior to start
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of PICU or relevant clinical experience
- Teaching hospital experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills- CCRN certification
- Level 1 Trauma experience
- Experience with bone marrow transplant patients
