Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including critical care management for pediatric patients
Perform and manage advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
Administer blood and blood products; manage CVP monitoring and obtain 12-lead EKGs
Operate and maintain complex equipment including PICC/central lines, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vacs, and port-a-cath/vascular devices
Support procedural sedation and Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI) drug administration
Float to NICU or other units within skill set as needed to meet unit demands
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum of 1 year of PICU or pediatric critical care experience (2 years strongly preferred)
BLS certification required
PALS certification required
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
