Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit setting, including management of critically ill pediatric patients
Perform and assist with advanced respiratory interventions including breathing treatments, CPAP/BiPAP, high-frequency ventilators, oscillators, and trach care
Manage complex lines and devices including PICC/central lines, CVP, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, port-a-cath access, syringe pumps, and wound vacs
Administer blood and blood products; obtain 12-lead EKGs; assist with procedure sedation and RSI (Rapid Sequence Intubation)
Float to NICU or other units within skill set as needed
Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications
Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
Minimum 1 year of PICU or pediatric critical care experience required (2 years strongly preferred)
BLS and PALS certifications required
Experience with critical care, ENT, general surgery, orthopedics, and pre-op/post-op settings
2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
