    Job Title

    Travel RN – Pediatric ICU (PICU), Nights

    Location

    Springfield, MO | Acute Care – Pediatric ICU

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Expected 36 hours/week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Utilize the nursing process to perform direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 12-bed PICU
    • Monitor and manage patients with complex conditions including trauma, burn, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, respiratory illness, sepsis, endocrinology, hematology/oncology, and orthopedics
    • Maintain patient ratios per acuity: ICU status 2:1, intubated patients 1:1, pediatric status 3:1
    • Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
    • Float to NICU, pediatric medical floor, or Peds ED as determined by patient volumes
    • Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption is required for all travelers from November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
    Required Qualifications
    • Current RN license — must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri RN licensure
    • BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
    • TNCC certification required
    • Minimum 2 years of PICU experience
    • Ventilator competency required
    • At least 1 year of post-orientation experience
    • Night shift orientation takes place on day shift; candidate must be available the entire orientation week
    • Weekend hours required as determined by the facility
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience with EPIC EMR
    • Experience caring for trauma, burn, or neurosurgical pediatric patients
    • Flexible team player comfortable working across multiple pediatric care settings
