Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 20 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year preferred License: South Carolina License required Certifications: BLS, PALS, NRP Must-Have: - NICU experience is preferred but not required. - All requests for time off must be included at the time of submission, and approval will depend on facility needs. Description: The position requires a registered nurse with pediatric experience. Candidates must have BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications. NICU experience is preferred but not essential. The registered nurse will work three consecutive night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The facility may cancel one shift every two weeks. Daily patient ratios for days and nights are two patients per nurse. The nurse will float to other units as needed based on census concerns, but only to units they are qualified for. Staff will engage with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Respiratory Services. Daily census averages four patients. Additional responsibilities include the administration of medications and monitoring patient conditions as per competencies. Travelers must have a minimum of one year of experience with the identified electronic medical record system. Modules related to job functions will be required before the start of the assignment and may include training hours. Time will be tracked and verified upon the start of the contract. This format ensures clarity and readability while adhering to the requirements provided.
