Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Pediatrics for a travel nursing job in Asheville, North Carolina.

Job Summary:
Pediatric Nurse (RN) Asheville, North Carolina. This role involves providing specialized nursing care on a Pediatric and Oncology unit within a healthcare facility. The position requires delivering patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment with a focus on pediatric and oncology patients, adhering to unit policies and safety standards.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, pediatric experience in hospital setting, pediatric oncology experience preferred, valid licensure in North Carolina, at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with CERner electronic medical record system, experience in pediatric oncology, detail-oriented and organized personality
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information:
    • Orientation includes a 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour shift on the floor
    • Uniform requirements: Navy blue or white tops for RNs, galaxy blue for CNAs, purple for sitters, medium gray for RTs, and sage green for LPNs
    • Unit handles pediatric and oncology patients, with a total of 19 beds and staffing of 22 clinicians daily
    • Typical procedures include use of Alaris pumps
    • The unit operates within CDC, state, and hospital policies and guidelines
    • The position involves working 6 weekends, with 2 being on Saturdays
