Job Opportunity – Pediatric RN (Travel) – Colorado

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Denver, Colorado

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; flexible scheduling with nurse input prioritized

Highlights:

• 36-bed pediatric step-down unit with all private rooms and parent sleeping accommodations
• Mixed acuity: step-down patients (spinal fusions, chest tubes, high flow oxygen) at 1:3 ratio; basic care patients at 1:4 ratio
• Supportive staffing model includes charge nurse (patient-free), PCTs, and Clinical Nurse Coordinator resources
• Meditech EMR with Phillips monitoring equipment
• On-site parking provided free of charge with bridge access directly to the unit
• Collaborative scheduling process that values traveler schedule requests alongside permanent staff

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric RN experience required
• Active RN license eligible for Colorado practice
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated competency with high flow oxygen, spinal fusion care, and chest tube management
• Experience with NGTs, Foleys, TP tubes, PIV insertion, and phlebotomy
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Multiple years of travel nursing experience strongly preferred
