Job Summary
Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, Wisconsin. This position involves providing comprehensive peri-anesthetic management for complex pediatric surgical and procedural patients in a state-of-the-art medical center. The role requires caring for a diverse pediatric caseload in a busy hospital environment, supporting specialized pediatric services with a focus on safety and quality care.

Job Details

  • Schedule: Night shifts with 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 08/17/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: WI Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license, at least 2 years of pediatric post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) experience within the last 3 years, Epic electronic charting system experience, BLS and PALS certification (American Heart Association only), successful pass of telemetry exam prior to start.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience, pediatric PACU experience, community hospital experience, trauma level I or II experience, inpatient RN experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, PALS, WI RN or compact RN license.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must be able to manage pediatric patients with complex needs, including airway management, arterial and central line care, ventilated patients, pain management, and monitoring of End-Tidal CO2. The role involves float responsibilities as needed, with a strict pass/fail telemetry exam required before clearance. No on-call required; weekend, holiday, and weeknight availability as needed.
