Job Summary: Pediatric Floor Registered Nurse (RN) position available in Portland, Oregon. This role involves providing specialized care for pediatric patients in a pediatric pre/post anesthesia care unit (PACU) within a short-term acute care facility. The position requires flexibility to float between units and facilities as needed, with a focus on patient safety and compliance with pediatric nursing standards.
Job Details:
Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, ACLS certification, pediatric nursing experience preferably including pre/post anesthesia care (PACU). No minimum experience required beyond 0 years. Must have charting experience with Epic software.
Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric PACU experience, ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care environment, flexibility to float between units and facilities.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS.
Additional Information: This position involves caring for pediatric patients in a stand-alone pediatric surgery department that handles outpatient and inpatient procedures across multiple surgical specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, urology, plastics, and ophthalmology. Candidate must have a vehicle for this assignment. Candidates should be prepared to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, and may need to float within nearby facilities to meet operational needs.
Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to inquiries regarding previous experience at similar facilities and confirm flexibility for floating. References covering one year of recent clinical experience are required.
