Registered Nurse (RN) - Pediatrics

Position Overview

An opportunity exists for a skilled Registered Nurse with pediatric experience to work in a medical-surgical floor that includes both adult and pediatric patient care. This position requires a passion for providing high-quality nursing care within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

The role is located on the 2 East unit, which accommodates 8 pediatric beds alongside general medical-surgical adult care.

Shift and Schedule

This position involves night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts each week from 18:30 to 07:00. Every other weekend is required.

Patient Ratios

• 1:5 for adult patients
• 1:4 for pediatric patients

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and effective nursing care to both pediatric and adult patients.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic documentation and patient management.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and communicate changes to the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• Pediatric experience is mandatory.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are required.
• Pending state nursing license applications will be accepted.
• Experienced nursing staff is preferred, particularly those with backgrounds in both adult and pediatric care.
