• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric float pool with coverage across multiple inpatient and emergency pediatric units
• Start Date: 10/12/2026
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday
• Orientation: Approximately 60 hours
• Floating: Required across PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, Acute Pediatrics, and occasionally L&D/Mother-Baby

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license; pending state license may be accepted if issued before start
• Minimum of 2 years of PICU experience required
• Experience in NICU and comfort caring for pediatric patients across acuity levels
• Epic experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Infant-Driven Feeding certification required, or willingness to obtain prior to start
• Travel nursing experience required
• BSN preferred
• Ability to work nights and remain flexible in a float pool environment
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, and select adult patients when assigned
• Support care in high-acuity pediatric environments, including PICU, NICU, Pediatric ED, and Acute Pediatrics
• Respond to changing patient needs and adjust quickly to different unit workflows and acuity levels
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation when assigned to NICU coverage
• Deliver care for patients requiring respiratory support, hemodynamic monitoring, and complex pediatric interventions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, child life, and other interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established charting standards
• Adhere to float policies, unit protocols, infection prevention practices, and safety guidelines
• Support families with empathy, professionalism, and clear communication throughout the care experience
