Job Title: Pediatric Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day and Night shifts available Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of pediatric experience required License: Active state RN license Certifications: BLS, CPI; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Experience with pediatric patients Trach/vent experience Description: Pediatric Registered Nurse for alternating day and night shifts. 36 hours per week required. Experience required with pediatric patients, trach, and ventilator management. Contract length is 13 weeks. Patient age group includes neonates, infants, and pediatrics. Patient diagnoses include prematurity, AOP, ROP, cardiac defects, feeding issues, NAS, and iatrogenic NAS. Special equipment includes trach/vents, PICCs, central lines, and TPN. Care will involve managing a patient ratio of 1:3, up to 4 with lower acuity. Weekends are required every other weekend, with holidays as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and sister units is required if necessary. Skills required include administration of blood and blood products, anti-seizure medications, and management of tracheostomy care. Additional skills include oxygen delivery systems, pediatric dosage calculations, and symptom management. Candidates must have satisfactory professional references from recent employers. Locals within a certain distance are not permitted. Candidates must be comfortable floating within their scope of experience.
